Burn survivors gather to support one another at event

2nd Annual Service of Remembrance

Over 30 family members, friends, nurses, fire fighters and professionals attended the 2nd Annual Service of Remembrance at the UIHC Burn Treatment Center on Sunday February 28, 2016.  The sharing of hope through tears, poems, music, and prayer was very empowering. Thank you to all the families who allowed the attendees to grieve with them and celebrate their loved ones lives. WE REMEMBER!

A special remembrance for Dr. Barbara Latenser was shared as she was a long time burn doctor and advocate for prevention who recently passed away in 2015.

THANK YOU to Awesome Biker Nights
for the $23,600 donation!

Every June, Awesome Biker Nights is held in Sioux City, IA.  All proceeds from the weekend are given to non-profit organizations in the area.  St. Florian Fire and Burn Foundation has been a recipient of these funds for many years.  Without sponsors such as Awesome Biker Nights we would not be able to support the many programs we have to support burn survivors and their families.  The support of Awesome Biker Nights is greatly appreciated!
